the engine pic was shot on airbus base in toulouse. i visite a friend who works for easa and he show me the hangars. in these days its a problem to publish pics like that because all security regulations are on high level. but i think an airplane engine is an essential part of modern travelling and therefore this pic is right on globo site.

I only moved to Margate in 1997, I am not sure when you left here?

It is beautiful still but is changing quickly. Sometimes I think for the worse as houses and flats are changing the natural landscape. Really sad.

Hi, Rudi. I just saw that the caption to my photo was too long. These "Star Gates" transport the water of the Orontes into town, not used anymore, but they are very romantique. You hear them groaning, it is a special kind of sound.

Thank you for your comment. In 2004 I went to Syria after I had been seriously ill. The German Syrian Freindship association in Monheim convinced me that it would be just the right thing to recuperate. They were right. I experienced a wonderful country. In 2005 I went again, this time alone but accompanied by a guide. This year (2006) the association didn't go for political reasons. It is a beautiful country. People are friendly and a woman travelling alone can move around without being molested.

Sorry, I've been out for some time and when I came back to check Globosapiens I was surprised by many things that happened here.
You know, the strange afair with Gloria is surprising but is somthing that I don't really understand completly .. anyway, also nicely surprised by Isaacmolina best travellers of the year results (amazing statistics control!!) , and also surprised about what you told me about the #4 best photographer ... ¿?¿? But, I don't understand at all! What's that? where can I see that points?
well! just thanks for your post and hope to stay more in touch at Globosapiens ... at least more often!!
