Hi folks, I became an early pensioner in 2015 and now have a 50m² apartment in München-Laim with sunny balcony. This is the first time in my life that I am living alone. Now enjoy my hobbies!

Hi Rudi,

Thanks for all your kind words and comments. I take so many pictures during my travels in the hopes of having a mere handful that stand out or have a unique perspective. I'm glad that most have had a good response.

Rudi,
in miserable Europe.
However, it was a wonderful experience and it truly a magical place, from lush green of south africa to the arid desert of Namibia, the watery existence of northern Botswana, the simplicity of rural life in Zambia, then culminating with the mighty Victoria Falls.
If only I could be traveling everyday.

Hola Rudi!

For your guidance, Japanese know Iturup Island as Etorofu-to.

frames

Dear Rudi,
You´ve asked me why I use frames and name on my pictures and you told me that you don´t like it. I am sorry about it. I understand you.
I would like to tell you that in my opinion the frame is important to enhance the picture, like we can´t see a paint without a frame. I prefer to see pictures over a black or white frame and I use it in all the pictures I´ve posted here and to Trekearth, where many nice photographers use to do the same.
About the name, I have to sign the pictures just because it belongs to me and I would like to keep rights clear. I don´t post my pictures to the sites that claim the right to use it and sell it as they want. I prefer to keep the rights to myself. My purposes are not professional, but I sold the rights to use some underwater images and it is nice for an amateur like me. I have some projects that include a book and it´s not for money, but for realize myself.
So, I´m sorry, but I would like to keep my frames.
Hope you understand..
Cheers!

Hey there!

Rudi,
Thanks for your comment on my camel photo! I was hesitant to post it, but I wanted to complete the slide show as a companion to my report on Jaisalmer, and include the camel shot. I really enjoyed the ride, aside for the flying sand!
I want you to know how much I appreciate everything you do for this site. I enjoy it all the more for your input! I know when you give a compliment that it is real and that makes the compliment all the more touching to me.
Thanks!

Hi Rudi
So you either think about leaving GLOBO or you think you will be expelled.
Both cases would be a great loss for GLOBO and I do hope that they won't happen. Even if we disagreed on some pics or content I always had a high esteem of your work here.
The fact that some pioneers don't show up anymore really is sad. We had some great photographers: inzaghi, whereisliz, vickichrista, dansan they haven't showed up a lot lately... On the other hand we do have some photographers who posted great stuff lately: Kailas, Zeca, Eire, Geri, Pollo_magdalena...
The true travellers like Dani, Jorge, Wojtek and others are showing up from time to time and share their great treasure.
The fact that we do have some older people who are online a lot could also be explained that they do have a lot of time to spare as they don't work anymore. Some of them might feel lonely and be happy to have somebody to be friendly to at least here on Globo.
I hope to see you around another time ;-)

Hi Rudi
"I wish more members would show such honesty and courage rather than thinking that if the praise everything at GLOBO their own poor work might be globally accepted too..."
What a great statement... There are some members who only know 4* or 5* ratings? Really a lot more members should vote and vote truthfully! Then those "nice" votes would not count as much...
