Hi folks, I became an early pensioner in 2015 and now have a 50m² apartment in München-Laim with sunny balcony. This is the first time in my life that I am living alone. Now enjoy my hobbies!

Chiemsee

Lovely place Chiemsee,

We had alovely day there in August 2000.

In addition to sports we oldies can go on great boat tours there.

In the evening we had a close call to meet our train after compl;eting the Grosse Rundfahrt. The staff arranged by radio to have a taxi waiting with the door open when the boat docked.

Well done and thanks to thepeople at Chiemsee

Hi Rudi!

Yes, that was a very special day - 8 hours kayaking near Homer. We saw a lot of otters, eagles ... . The picture was made with a Pentax.

Bye the way: Visit Düsseldorf to taste that beer - I'll be with you :-) !

Cheers, Christian

More pictures ratings

Bolivia Luna landscape:
I like this very much as it shows the inhospitability of the mountains. I the upward movement of the pinnacles. The blue of the sky is just about right. definitely a 4 star picture

Botswana wheels: 3 stars. I like the compostion and the shadow of trees falling on the vehicle, but the people on the left are only half there. It would have made the picture more interesting if I could see what they were doing.

Botswana sunset: 4 stars. The horizon is not straight that’s why you get 4 stars. I like the foreground because it gives more depth to the picture. The colours of the sunset are perfectly reflected and almost parallel in the water. The half sun and the clear streak on the water are near perfect. I suppose the original is more in focus.

Botswana desert bank: 3 stars. A nice and unexpected subject. You might crop most of the left so that the bank fills the whole picture. Also crop a bit of the left so that this building or something like it is gone. If you do this all attention goes to the bank

I hope I did not offend you. I'll do a few more pictures. You don't find my ratings to harsh? I only give 5 stars for extremely good pictures.

The little man "Hitch-Hi-ke-Mike"

Posted: 2004-11-01 12:47 PM
I really enjoyed that picture of The little man "Hitch-Hi-ke-Mike". Many people forget the human side of the place we visit around the globe. The every day activity of the human race is as important as intricate architecture and sky lines.
Congrats to your niece on her participation to this worldwide geography contest.
