I went to New Zealand simply because we had a friend over there and accommodation was free. It was a very cheap trip and it was very exciting to be able to go when i did. It was a freeing experience for me as I getting over a breakup.

New Zealand I think is very much like Australia, which is why they are quite often affiliated with us. They have the same kind of clothes, people, places and food. They have many Islands which were once volcanoes surrounding Auckland and we managed to visit two. Auckland itself was just like Sydney but Rotorua and Waihiki and the drive going to Rotorua was something else....

Favourite spots: |
Rotorua by far, the live volcanic eruptions below you as you walk was freaky. The smell which i think was the gases from these eruptions take a little getting used too, but the lakes and views were just breathtaking.. I cant wait to scan some of those photos in for you to see....

What's really great: |
Waihiki island was awesome too, we hired a little suzuki 4 wheeler and hooned around the island taking lots of photos of deserted locations.

Sights: |

Other recommendations: |
Go Whitewater rafting if you go down to Waihiki, that was an absolute rush - especially going down the water falls.
