We recently went down to the Snowy Mountains which is within Mt Kosciuszko National Park. It's south west from Sydney, past Canberra and really beautiful. We stayed in Jindabyne which is about half an hour away from the slopes. Skiing is a big adrenalin rush when you can do it fast, but all four of us fell quite often. I thought I'd be really cool and ski in the man made jump thing for snowboarders and went shoulder first into the ice wall - painful!!. No major injuries for us and I cant wait to go back again. I think Perisher has a fantastic atmosphere and a real buzz in the air. I havent been skiing anywhere else so cant judge just yet.
