I went to Paris expecting to see the prettiest city in the world, dont get me wrong - Paris is a beautiful, romantic city but I think Sydney is prettier.

Paris has a lot to offer, a lot to see and a lot to do. We spent a bit of time getting from place to place in their metro (underground railway). We saw just about everything there is to see in Paris, and I would like to return one day with money. It would be nice to do a Paris trip which included an expensive restaurant followed by a fancy hotel.... that would be memorable with the whole atmosphere of Paris. We didnt speak a word of French so that was very interesting...

Favourite spots: |
Probably the Eiffel Tower - that was pretty spectacular. I also liked seeing the Moulin Rouge with my own eyes. We both loved the movie so much that it was very important for us to visit where it all began...

What's really great: |
I liked a lesbian bar we went to late one night. we had been out all day seeing Paris and I was dying to have a drink somewhere comfortable and welcoming to us. We didnt stay long as we had business to take care of back at the hotel ;) Come on we are in the 'City of Love'....

|
Sights: |
The Eiffel tower The Museum Lurve (Mona Lisa) Notre Dame
|
|
Other recommendations: |
I recommend that you spend more time above the city and less time in the metros. I think thats where we went wrong and also go in the Summer - the top of the eiffel tower is not covered and the cold winds can really burn...
