A few of us went to Manly for the day as they had a Jazz festival on. There were lots of food and wine stalls, big jumping castles for the kids and loads of live bands. It was a great day...

We caught the train to the city, then the ferry across Sydney Harbour to Manly. I find that we are more inclined to visit outside where we live so its nice to be a tourist in your own home every now and then... We took some photos from the ferry, checked out the local markets then to the festival.

Manly is a great attraction in Sydney. The ferry pulls up on the river to the jetti, you then get off and walk through the mall which is a row of shops on either side of a massive paved walk way and then you are on the beach. So you can basically see the beach and the river at the same time.
