Whilst staying with my partner Joanna in Montpellier(France) we decided to take the 4 hour train journey and have a weekend in Barcelona. What an amazing city. I absolutely loved it here and will definitely be back one day soon.

Favourite spots: |
The Rambla's was really good to go for a stroll down just to soak up some of the atmosphere that just oozes out of the city. Sagrada Familia(Gaudi) This cathedral was incredible. Nou Camp(Home of Barcelona FC) well...what can i say. Being a big fan of football this was a must as far as i was concerned if coming to Barcelona. Really cheap admission which gives you access to Stadium and Museum. The Club shop is huge too. The Modern Port area is really cool to walk around also.

What's really great: |
Nou Camp was the highlight. If going in the morning heres a little tip - Take a walk around the outside of the stadium and you will find the training pitch directly behind. If you are as lucky as we were you might see the team going through a training session. You will have to fight with the locals though to get a viewing position

Accommodations: |
Hotel Paris - This hotel was more like a Hostel but considering this was ok really. Very Basic but that is all we wanted.
|
|
Nightlife: |
Maremagnum's - Very good though very expensive to drink.
|
|
Restaurants: |
Various Restaurants down in Port area which were very nice and lots of Paella restaurants too.
