I wasn't too impressed with Wellington. For a big city it just didn't seem to have the pzazz of some other places. I think by talking to other New Zealanders Wellington is used as a stop off for people who are catching the ferry to Picton in the South. Though saying all of this, we did have a good evening out here.

The Railway ride to the top of Hill was pretty cool. Visiting the Parliament building was very interesting too.

I especially liked the shopping here. Was nice to go to some larger chain shops instead of small behind the times shop. Though thats not to say that I don't like the old fashioned ones because they have so much more character than the huge stores.

Stayed in a Hotel here. Very expensive indeed. My tip would be to arrange accomodation here as soon as you know you are visiting. Took us over 2 hours to find anywhere with vacancies.

Sports Bar in City centre. Very trendy and food very nice and plenty of it. Good to sit and look at sports memorabilia.
