Vancouver B.C. is one of the most beautiful cities on the globe! You can go for snowboarding and watersports on the same day! Whistler is just a 2 hours ride away. Some say it is the best ski resort in North Amerika.
The Vancouverians are pretty layed back and very friendly! If you are lucky and you cach one of the sunny days check out the beach. There are some all around Vancouver. Kitselano beach is one of my favourites

Stanley Park is just breath taking. A northern rain forest in the middle of the city. If you are living close to stanley park, you are living close to down town and the beach as well!!

Vancouver seems to be a culture melting pot. People imigrated from all over the world. Lot's of asian. That's why there are so many sushi places all over down town. You would like to learn, Japanese, Chinese, German or any other language? Just grab somebody and do a language exchange!

Hosteling International (1.604.684-4565) is the best place for cheep and compfi accommodation. Beds go for 19$ (members) and 23$ nonmembers. The hostel is walkable from anywhere in the down town area. Make your reservation on time!

Vancouver is full of great sushi restaurants. You can get all you can eat sushi for as cheap as 10$!! The salmon is just hmmmmmmmm! Go for the sashimi if you like salmon. The fish is catched just a few miles of Vancouver. You may also want to try some food on Davie St and lower Robson St.
