Zürich ist one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It has lots to offer. Beautifully placed around a huge lake and surrounded by great mountains. During the Streetparade (a techno parade) in summer there are thousands of cracy people dancing in the streets and around the lake. It is not considered the biggest, but for sure the most scenic techno parade on the world. After this huge event the streets in downtown zurich are filled with people dressed really freaky and small clubs are putting their speakers outside, so the whole city starts to vibrate.

The lake in down town makes the whole atmosphere. Shopping is really great, too. All the small shops are beautifully decorated and anciant stone ways in the old part of the city will take you to the nicest places in town.

What's really great: |
The streetparade is just breathtaking. Even if you hate Techno, you will love this event! This is a must see if you are visiting in summer. During the main event their are huge trucks going around in a circle carrying lots humongous boombox speakers and freaky girls and guys. The famous clubs do rent those trucks and give the tickets to some VIP guys or some pretty chicks. So there is always something beautiful for your eyes:-)

Restaurants: |
Swizerland puts a big whole in your bugget, since all the prices are pretty high. Especially going out for lunch in downtown is horrible expensive (don't even try to buy something during the streetparade!)

Other recommendations: |
Do yourself a favour and climb one of the surrunding mountains (or hills). It gives you a breathtaking overview on downtown with the lake in the middle.
