Good to see some photos of northern England. I have very few myself, having lost some really nice ones of the Yorkshire Dales.
I love the architecture and the external view of Durham Cathedral - although I think the best photo is Liverpool RC Cathedral.
Would you feel affronted if I were to do a report on parts of Northumberland north of Newcastle - Chillingham, Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Ford & Etal in particular. I do regard it as 'yours' in a way and I don't want to jump in, if you're intending to do one yourself.
Lastly, can't Newcastle include the National Express Coach Station in its improvements?
Cheers, David

I think it's always special if you can stay with someone who really belongs. We stayed with an ex-student of mine and his wife in Zimbabwe once and we were treated like honorary blacks. It was great but I shan't be writing about it here because of events since.

I'm glad you enjoyed my new photos. I see that you've been quite busy yourself. You have quite a lot of interesting articles and your pictures are pretty awesome.
Our next trip is actually to Asia, we haven't decided where yet.
Keep in touch

for your recent comments on my reports.
I was actually nervous about the one on Todmorden. After so many kind and favourable gradings, it would have seemed horrible if my home town had been selected for a poorer one - and it's only a small place.

Such a small country but so much to offer and very colourful. Thanks for sharing that with us. Incidently, see that you have almost 5 pages of **** and ***** pictures now, a nice collection! :-)

I seem unable to keep off here long but I just have to congratulate you on some of those recent photos of Vientiane.
I'm a stingy marker of photos and I don't think I have ever handed out 5 5s to the same person in a day before.
Cheers
David
