Dear Krys,

We are planning to go to the El Mirador basin in late June and I was thinking about adding Piedas Negras to the itineriary. I should have done it 3 years ago when we were already on the same river to see Yaxchilllan but I was trying to fit some diving in on the same trip.

I appreciate your input!

Krys,
I know you have nosed around the Mayan World a bit - any chance you have gone to Piedras Negras? I have been to Yaxchillan which is about 2 hours upstream, and is probably my all time favorite Mayan ruin, but I am wondering if Piedras Negras is worth trying to get to.
