Thanks for the heads up.

Hey Krzys,
Thanks for the heads up. I will try to get some local currency and will also take my medical certificates. Although if it was a bribe, not sure what good it will do. I also decided to get my visa over here, at a wapping £44 for Vietnam, but at least I have it. I'm travelling next friday so I'm getting just a bit excited now.
All the best

Krzys,
I forgot to say that your slideshow of the Cliff of Dover is really lovely. You have captured some wonderful shots. I love the colours.

Hey Krzys,
Thanks for your views on Myanmar, I will be going to Thailand at the end of the month and was considering traveling around. But was dissuaded from going there. I've now made other plans, but maybe on my next journey. Already I want to go to Laos, so I may conbine the two.
All the best

Cliffs of Dover

Hi Krys,
you certainly picked a glorious day to go for your walk!
When we first moved to England we used to take the ferry from Calais to Dover all the time - this was before the arrival of cheap airlines - and those cliffs were always a welcome sight.
all the best

Your comment on my Mandalay report
Posted: 2010-03-08 06:47 PM
Hi Krys,
good to hear from you again. Hope you are well. Thank you for your comment on my Mandalay report. I tried to be specific. I experienced so many good encounters that it was quite difficult to choose only the essentials. It took time but I like to write. It's a way to stay in contact with some part of the world.

Hi Chris,
thanks for reading and rating my report on Isla Mujeres.
The sun rises in Mexico were quite spectacular, worth getting up early for!
As to cemetries - well, I'm not a morbid person, but they do fascinate me. And it is interesting to observe the attitude to death in different cultures. As I said in my report, in Mexico people celebrate the lives of their loved ones and they are still very much a part of their everyday lives. Here, in contrast, a local cemetry just got under fire in the local papers because they removed all ornaments from peoples' graves, including vases for flowers.
Thanks again for your vote

Hi Krys,
I enjoyed your slide show from Dominica, blue skies, rainbows, swaying palms etc. and I like the idea of having a go on that swing too.
