Nicaragua

Krys,
I saw your response in the Groups section - I was happy you posted there where other people can see it!

We've settled on a series of nature preserves which include Masaya Volcano, spend a couple of days in Leon and Granada and then spend 3 or 4 days on Corn Islands which are in the Caribbean.

On my trip to Costa Rica last month, we went into the southern part of Nicaragua on the Rio Frio as part of a tour of nature preserves and it was amazing.

Have a great time in Ghana!

Tell me about Nicaragua!

Krys,
I am hoping to go to Nicaragua in August. I read your wonderful report on Granada. Where else did you go? I am hoping to go to Granada and Leon, tour some volcanoes and then go diving on the Corn Island. Where else should I consider?

Thanks!

Marvelous Slideshow!!!

Krys,
I have so enjoyed your slide show on Turun. It truly looks like an unspoiled medieval hamlet. Your photos give such wonderful detail to all the architecture. What a treat that you have shared!!!!

Thanks!

Nice repoorts! cont....

I had to split this in to two sections..

And for helping you to get the beer prices right:
As you wrote, the prices for beer are very high at pubs and etc in Stockholm. But you can't compare them with the prices at the shops and supermarkets. Because that is not the same beer!
A beer in a pub is a beer with normal % of alcohol, about 5%. But the one you buy in the shops have at maximum 2,8-3,5%

Thanks for splendid reports!

Btw, I'm going to Slupsk and Gdansk for the eastern holiday

Hi
Nice travel reports you have done. I have been alot in Slupsk and Poznan. And I agree with you.
But in your report from Stockholm I found some errors of facts.
You wrote:
"Stockholm's Stadshuset on Kungsholmen island, was not only a matchless landmark, with its massive square tower, but a lovely spot by the water, where the Nobel Prize has been awarded on an annual basis, except the Nobel Peace Prize of course. As it is handed out personally by Norway's monarch in Oslo."
Fact is: The Nobel Prize handed out in the Consert hall of Stockholm by the Swedish king Carl XVI Gustaf. But the banquet is hold at the cityhall.
The peace prize is handed over in Oslo by the chairman of the Nobel prize committee, in the presences of the monarch of Norway.

And for helping you to get the beer prices right:
