I liked Edinburgh a little more than Glasgow, although I couldn't say why exactly. All the people we encountered in Scotland were friendly and the food was great.
Favourite spots:
The shops,(great bookstores) the pubs, cafes and just the city in general.
What's really great:
Walking through the city with my husband and stopping occasionally for tea.

Hangouts:
One of the pubs we ate at had really good food and a guy came in with a set of bagpipes and just started taking requests from the dinner guests. That was really cool.
