Wow, India

Eire,
That sounds great; I've never travelled to India, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time; are you doing the Golden Triangle.
I shall be on my way to South Africa by the time you return, my first trip to that part of the world.
Anyway I hope the interviewing goes well and that it doesn't take too long to find the right person.
All the best

Ikaria / Clear Water
Posted: 2006-06-13 07:06 AM
Eire,
Sounds as if I should go there, but I have decided not to visit USA, as long as visitors / tourists must fill out forms in which they give all kind of personal information like the number and expiry date of their credit card, religion etc. All because it is needed in fighting terrorism. I do not believe in this. I think it is Big Brother Watching. We all know what happened in 1939.
Neither do I want to be in transit as the same questions are asked and form has to be filled in. That is a pity because Martin Air (a Dutch company) flies to the Caribbean, but via Miami.

Ikaria

Hi Eire,
You said that Symi reminded you of Ikaria. I saw some photos of it and the houses look exactly the same as the ones in Symi. I was wondering is or was Ikaria a sponge divers' island?

Kalimera - Jassou, fille!

As I was young :-) I worked at a camping site in Thassos Isl., northern part of greece, but I do not really remember the language...
hey thanks for your report rating! unfortunally I cant recommend you for London, but we have active members there, isnt? - ask them for a private tour! - The next time you spend at FRA and you do not contact me before, will really disappoint me! - If I am free, of course I show you arround the city - isnt one of the major benefits of a community like GLOBO, to win friends around the world?!

Eire, Thanks for reading my Symi report. You are right: these islands have atmosphere and not much else. However, I would add: and tourists in summer. Not a few, no loads in fact too many.

Thanks you for reading and rating my Kovalam report. It was not the paradise tour operators make you believe it is. It was a good place for two days., but not longer

Eire,
Thanks for reading my Varkala report. This was certainly not the most interesting place we visited, that's why we only stayed one day. I look forward to reading your India reports.
