Hello Marianne

I went to Tanzania through a company called world challenge. The main point of the trip was to climb up Kilimanjaro - where the final summit attempt has to have been one of the hardest things ive ever done - 8 hours of gruelling walking.

We were in Morogoro on acclimatisation to prepare us for Kili - i found it to be a very interesting, fun and bustling town, even though slightly frightening!

I also stayed briefly in Dar Es Sallaam in the very basic Salvation Army Hotel. - cold showers etc....

I did a project helping to build the nursery for a school for about a week in the tiny village of Lomwe in the Pare mountains just south of Moshi. I spent a few days in Moshi also - in between Kili and when we were on safari around the Ngorongoro crater area - Finally we spent 4 days on the beaches of Bagamoyo-

It was really nice to hear from you Marianne. I am glad that you enjoyed the photos of KL and the butterfly park. I was there in the late morning and it seems that they were less active and were hiding in the shade. Nevertheless, it was a nice experience. I managed to steal a few while they were resting!

I hope you enjoyed your visit here especially during the mega sale period. The Haze was just dredful wasn't it.

I enjoyed your articles on Brunei. It's interesting to note that its quite a serene and quite place to be in.

Thanks for writing a comment in my guestbook. And yes, if you are not too spoiled from diving in the red sea, our own country still has some good spots to go diving. In and around Zierikzee there are some great spots to go diving.

How are you?
I was in Zwolle in 2000 and 2001 but haven't returned since. It very beautiful there, especially on the inner *island*,within the original city walls.
They were working on renovating the "inner city" cathedral when I was there. Perhaps they are finished now. I should visit again soon.

Thanks a lot marianne for your replay!
I will try to book the hotel you said me in Marsa matrouth and Alessandria.
Right now i get in touch with Palm Tree Hotel in Siwa.
I'm very sad to know that the road between Baharyyia and Siwa is close (the owner of the hotel has confirmed me this... sigh) but i will try when i will be in Siwa. May be things shall change... who knows? :)
