A very interesting tour and series of pictures. I'm glad you did Varanasi too.
Was it a group tour?
Thanks as always for sharing your moments here.
Best regards,
Akhila

Amanda, technology is awesome!

It is great that without leaving my desk and in my pajamas, I can visit so many places in just one spot. Places I never heard off, like Socotra or Malahide. The information just comes to you in one place. This is great for me - I am thinking of taking up teaching and giving up corporate America.
You are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to go in person. That is so coool! If you never been to Savannah, GA, feel free to come visit - you are welcome to stay in at my humble abode: a spacious o1-bedroom. The history here is not as old as European history but it is still amazing that is the birth of the greatest country on the planet for a lot of people.
ciao!

Hi Amanda,
thank you very much - it was a nice surprise.
You won't see much of me this month, though - too busy at work. But I will check out what everybody else is up to.
Regards
Sabine

Thank you so much for your kind comments on my return to Globo. I have only just realised that I can now download my pictures without the rigmarole of reducing their size.
I have been travelling quite a bit this year. Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Croatia and Montenegro, Abruzzi in the mountains of Italy, Rome and Paris have all watched me click my camera. So have loads of photo’s to upload and reports to write when I get chance.
I shall try and devote more time to Globo during 2008 and catch up with all your pics and reports.
Cheers, Brit

Hi Amanada!

Hi Amanda!
Keep those elephant pictures coming! :-)
Our next big trip is still 5 months away, but hopefully we can squeeze a couple smaller ones in before then.
We are going to Mexico at the end of April for a couple of weeks. I've booked the flight to Cancun and I am looking at places to stay at the moment. We are planning to spend a week in Tulum, then 3 days in Chichen Itza und Valledolid and the last 4 days on Isla Mujeres. I am so looking forward to some sunshine after the miserable summer we had here and can't wait to swim in the warm Caribbean Sea. But I'm also looking forward to see all those Mayan ruins, I remember reading up on them when I was a teenager and being fascinated by the culture.
The short trips we have planned, but not yet booked, are to Lisbon and to Munich visiting a friend.
What's next for you?
kind regards
Sabine
