The real laugh will be that my 50th Brithday is only two months after my son's 13th. I will be dragging myself up Half Dome's cables by that point! May be I will just send him with his oldest brother....

Hi Amanda,
I am constantly amazed at how many Californians have never been to Yosemite. It is a fantatastic place. I try ti back pack there at lest once each summer. Years ago I took my oldest son up Half Dome to celebrate his 13th Birthday and it quickly became a Right of Passage in our house. Three children have been up so far - I have one more to go!
