Giant's Causeway

Dear Hugh,
Thanks very much for your comments about my Giant's Causeway photos... this natural wonder is certainly something to see, and lots of fun to photograph.
I see we have a love of some other places in common, including Verona and Barcelona... I enjoyed looking at your excellent photos! When I return to your glorious Emerald Isle (as I know one day I most certainly will) I will be asking you for advice about other fine places to visit, as I see you have many to recommend.
So glad you're a part of this virtual community!
Warm regards,
Liz

Superlatives appreciated and returned

Dear Hugh,
Many thanks for your appreciation of the elephant and its calf picture. I am currently reading and being enthralled by your Barcelona report (it's looking good) I shall restrain from rating it until your ***Work in Progress*** sticker leaves the screen.
So pleased you have embraced Globo as one way to while away some of your time!
Best wishes,
Cheers, Brit.

Dear Hugh
Thank you for your reply.
Yes,it is very interesting to know about all kinds of not
Only religious holydays ,but also very interesting to know and learn
About all kinds of festivals from around different parts of the world .
In this community we can learn, not only about architture, lakes and
Rivers….,but also about a history and customs of particular courtiers as well.
And to start a new topic in forum;-just go to forum, see what is your
Interest (what do you like to learn about or talk about),open this particular
Interest group and you will be on your way participating in the topic that
Is most interests you. When you open a particular topic group, you will
Be able to see “open a new topic”;-when you will open it you will find
“subject” for naming your new topic and “message body”-where you
can write your messages. If you would like to talk about a subject
that is not in forum yet;-please scroll to”Open board”,see what topics
are listed in that particular section,if you will not be able to find the
topic that interests you, than you can start you own by clicking on
“open a new topic”
Dear Hugh,I hope my explanation is not complex and will help you.
Good luck to you ,and a lot of knowledge

Hughs great View

...must first say, we love ALL of your pictures, they show your great attitude to travel.
...agree with you: "Dont worry about the camera...your words in your log are recording everything better than any camera could“.
Memories and logs are sometimes better than pics, although our pictures do help us sometimes to capture only a glimpse in life! While some say "a picture paints a thousand words", I say memories are more brilliant and that as black-white text (memoirs) much more personal and permanent. Although, its harder to write than take a snap-shot!

I did examine the details of the Gaudi's 33 sums on the magic square. Isn't it intruiging? :-)
Keep traveling safely...

A little bit of luck
Posted: 2004-11-28 09:15 AM
Dear Hugh
Thank you for signing my guestbook and I`m also glad you like my photo of the cobbled street, which is one of my favorite too. I`ll have to let you know that, this photo was a little of luck, i just saw that beautiful street and decided to take a shot. When I took a look on my camera for the result, i was impressed, and I only remarked those leafs at that time. I guess beautiful pictures need also a bit of luck !
It was my first time at Frankfurt, but you are right it was a nice contrast from the airport...no doubt about it.
cheers

Poetic justice!
Posted: 2004-11-25 07:40 AM
Hi Hugh,
How nice to hear from you! Indeed when I left the Far East it was 91 degrees (30c) I reached Heathrow and it was snowing with a ground temperature 32 f. (0c). I have never felt more like turning round in my whole life.
Fortunately things have improved since Saturdays snow scene - which summed up how bleak I felt!
I must say I am impressed with some of your delicious pictures of Ireland. I was particularly impressed with your butterfly shot - knowing how difficult it is to keep the little buggers still for a moment.
Keep the pictures coming - I am missing my regular visits to Ireland this year!
Kind regards,
Cheers, Brit
