I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures when you get back. (I know it isn't possible to upload when you are on the road.)

I am thinking of doing a cruise that spends a day in Damascus. It really does sound wonderful.

Thank you, Rafal, for your comment on my Mandalay report. I always like to know in what kind of political situation I am in. Travelling isn't as secure as it has been as started years ago, e.g. hiking alone in the Rocky Mountains as someone who didn't know anything about hiking, teddy bears, and walking through streams, and the like. I felt totally safe. The rangers always remembered me. But Myanmar is a magic country with open-minded, friendly, hospitable people, worth visiting it.

Dear Rafal,

thank you so much for reading and rating my report on Isla Mujeres.

I am now preparing for my trip to South Africa - less than 3 weeks to go. Temperatures are in the high 20's there at the moment and I can't wait to escape the cold.
