Macedonia!

Rafal! Such perfect timing! I have been working on a reproduction Macedonian costume for the last six months. We are almost (they dance in them on Saturday!) done and the research has been so much fun!
You slide show was a nice chance to glimpse the region - the costume we are doing is from the Florina area of Macedonia but very similar (as I understand it) to the Astrid lake region. This is a terrific selecton of slides that really give a marvelous feel for the area!
