This town is one of the most charming in New Brunswick. Gardens are tended, people are friendly and the buildings/houses are well kept. From almost 10 historical Churches of different era and religion to cafes, museums and botanical gardens, etc; the town has it all. One can either camp at the camping ground situated close to downtown and by the sea, or stay at the turn of the century b&b.

Favourite spots: |
One has to stay at least a full weekend to fully discover St Andrews by-the-sea. The first stop should be at the tourist information boot situated on Reed Ave. There you`ll find a detailed map that includes a regional overview, a National Historic Map and a Downtown map. All the downtown buildings have been identified by address, name and phone numbers. Although this pamplet is only 1 x 2 feet, it will be useful for your journey. And for the Golf fanatics, please note that a great Golf course is situated nearby.

What's really great: |
I loved Kingsbrae Horticultural Garden. The garden has over 2000 different shrubs and trees and plants. A few hours should be planned for this activity as there is a large area to cover. On the grounds are several ponds, a dutch windmill, a cafe and gift shop and a great variety of plants. Attracted by all the different goodies, butterflies, birds and insects have made the garden their home.

Sights: |
Downtown has more than 2 dozen Historical houses to visit, even some have been restored and transformed into shops and cafes. Most have kept their original beauty, as per fireplaces, high ceilings and wall borders.

Other recommendations: |
One can`t be in St Andrews by-the-sea without stoping at the Market Square situated on the Wharf. Cafes and lots of interesting goodies. Also everywhere in the city you`ll notice many murals.
