This is what I know about Cornish. It became extinct in the 18th century as a first language. It was revived as a hobby by several thousands of people.
In 2003 (the last year I was teaching linguistics) there were 500 speakers who used Cornish and about 100 who spoke it fluently.
Okay, this is 4 years ago, but I can't imagine things have changed dramatically.
If there are any Cornish Globos they will send me a note (I hope).

..... Dear David, as you say, we might seem to have more time now for GLOBO but think about the advantage and time the youngsters still have in future decades. Also, how it is now so easy to travel in the 21st century and how digital photography helps capturing travel scenes and brighten up presentations! ...... RR

Congratulations David, I see that the visitor counter for your GLOBOpages will pass the three million mark tomorrow around noon. You get to have very pretty new fans too, i'm jealous! :-(

Hi David!
Thank you so much for your kind words.
The chaple of bones was unbelievably eerie, especially the skeletons hanging from the walls... the photo doesn't do it justice you're right. By the way all of your photos are beautiful, you're a very talented photographer.

Hi David,
Thanks for reading my Connemara report. I am sure that this is part of the world you will enjoy (if only because it is not too hot). We had glorious weather, sun all the time.
When will you go to Scotland?
