Hi,
thank you for commenting on my picture (St Helen's Place), more pictures of the Gherkin are on their way, I will keep you updated! The French flag is because it is French trading company owning a part of the building.
Take care

Mumbai Airport

Posted: 2006-04-27 05:10 PM
Marianne,
Several people talked us out of going to Mumbai. My step mother who has been to Mumbai was very concerned as she had safety problems traveling with another woman several years ago. We simply fly through on our way home. We go from Aurangabad to Mumbai to London. I am so glad you posted the tip because, although I knew the airports were some distance apart, now I know to speed things along.

Reading your comments, I am little disappointed that we allowed ourselves to be swayed.

Thanks,
Eire

Great Info!

Marianne,
Thanks for the terrific info on Mumbai's airports. I knew there were two but hadn't realized that there was so much travel time between them. We have flights landing at the domestic at 10pm and flying out of the international at 1:30am, so knowing that an hour will be needed to get between them is REALLY helpful!

Thanks for your kind words. I hope that I can continue to write entertaining and informative reports in the future. I'm still learning more about this site, but it's been really fun communicating with other travellers.

have loved the photos of malyasia, dint know it was so beautiful. learning that makes me feel like i have travelled there though i plan to visit malaysia sometime in future.

Did you enjoy your travel to Tanzania? Being in the neighbouring country, Kenya, i have visited Arusha and Dar es salaam. I love the wild and culture.

Working as a travel here in Nairobi, Kenya has given me some exposure.

Hi Marianne

I hope that you are ok,
I would like first to say thank you, for taking the time to comment on my recents pictures of London. I am trying to show the "hisdden london" away from the typical tourist shots you see often on Globo, a lot more is to come.
When I will have more yes I built a slide show of "hidden London".
Trellick tower used to be a hell to live in with muggings druggs,.. now it is the place to be, flats are very expensive, I would not be able to afford buying one in here! the average price £250000 for a 2bedrooms flat or 365000 Euros, but some are even more expensive: welcome to London!
This building is listed, so it can not be put down, but it is part of London, if one it goes down, it will be like missing the Twin Towers in New York. To get there is very easy. Once you live Paddington station, walk along the canal for 15 -20minutes easy walk, and you will be there.
I hope you fing this useful
Take care
Isabelle
