Hello Wojciech,
first I saw some of your wonderful landscapes like
Langa Langa Lagoon which I like very much. Then I have discovered your many portraits of men (especially kids) and animals that are really gorgeous. You are a great artist!
Best regards from Germany - Petra

Pozdrawiam serdecznie z Tanah Rata w Cameron Highlands

I'm a newbie as far as blogging goes and I want to send my greetings and intro of myself through my 1st ever blog with a new friend (I hope) from Poland. I have just one other friend in Poland but the young gentleman is there from Norway to graduate as a Doctor in Genealogy.
Looking forward to your friendship and exchange of tips and/or thoughts with travels of yours as well...

Wojciech, my friend, thanks for your message.
Jose was sick during 2 months. Now is on the road to Prudhoe Bay, in Alaska, and will be back home soon. I will ask him to join your prestigious club. I am sure that he will be glad to join. He will come to Barcelona because we have a travel to do together to Central Europe, with his car, so, who knows; maybe I will convince him to drive to your dacha! That would be great. I will let you now.
Pls, check these links regarding plane service from Alaska to Russia Far East and vice versa

Dzieki Panie Wojtku za mile slowa. Z zoladkiem juz sobie poradzilem, przynajmniej na razie :) Idzie coraz lepiej. Poznalem juz smak samotnej podrozy podczas ostatniego pobytu w Maroko, ale jednak Azja to calkiem inna egzotyka. Prosze trzymac kciuki :)
When I visited (late 2005), it was still possible to cross the bridge in either direction to see the falls from the other side. The authorities were flexible and very friendly, actually. I am not sure how the situation looks now, given the horrific tragedy in Zimbabwe and massive exodus of people. Perhaps it still works well, as the foreign travellers have been largely immune to the political trouble in the region and the authorities kept it cool, unless someone looked like a reporter in Zimbabwe.
The helicopter ride was $85 and I highly recommended despite a serious dent in the budget (I survived three days in Zimbabwe on less than that, then).
I am not sure what activities are organised on the Zim side. I doubt there are many. Already two years ago, the majority of tours were being handled from Zambia. I met many people, including white entrepreneurs, who lost their businesses in Vic Falls and tried to rebuilt their stuff in Livingstone.

Thanks for the info, Wojciech. After Baffin island I will head to Labrador, hichthiking, following the Translabrador highway. I will travel in that ferry that you mention, named Bond, James Bond, I think.
Without you I could get to the Magnetic North Pole. It was a pity. Baffin island, whre I am now, is just next door to the magnetic north pole, but i could not afford renting a motorboat, alone, from Resolute bay. If you were here, perhaps, paying 50 % each that would have been possible.
Hasta la vista in Swains islands.
