Hike, Bike, Dive or Drive....
Posted: 2006-08-15 12:30 PM
Marianne,
I am so fortunate - Big Sur is a short 2 hours from my home so I've done all four! I will admit to biking it half a lifetime ago - don't think I am up to that anymore.
Point Lobos is one of my favorite dive spots, aside from being very chilly, because the kelp forests are so unique.
We back packed it for three days just this last weekend and that trip inspired the report. The raw wilderness is so stunning!

Hi!
Sorry, I haven't been anywhere this summer. My computer broke so i had to wait for 3 months just to get one that works. I try to work all kinds of person in in my writing to make it relate to everybody. Since the theater was so far away from our hotel and you can't bring cameras in the theater, my family thought it would be better to leave it at the hotel. Sorry! It would have been so nice. I'll take pictures next time I go. It probably won't be long.
Thanks for the welcome.

Ober Tatelishorn slide show

Hello Marianne, thanks for your kind words. Since the beginning of August we have a lot of rain and at the moment the mountains are covered with snow above 2200m. Now I'm looking forward to my trekking in the Badain Jaran desert in September. It will probably provide plenty of pictures for the next album.

hi!
i missed u too!
missed being around in globo frequently. will try my best to contribute more.
am still in pain because of CTS and hence minimal contributions. so far it is easy to unpload pics and write short destination guides then do a report.
btw.. the aussie pics were from 2 years ago. ie 2004. i am currently still deciding on my sept/oct trips. will know soon when i will be heading to ireland. otherwise, i will probably do a short trip to either bali or hongkong.
btw.. any more reports from u?

I've written the travel log..

....and edited it. I don't know where to get it to where every one can read it.
There is no place on my page to do that.

Prague accommodation
Posted: 2006-08-11 05:11 AM
Hi Marianne
I was initially a bit shocked by that price - I went off season and a few years ago, both of which would account for a price higher than I remembered - though mine was only for single use.
I remembered another recommendation I had seen and found it dearer than the one I suggested. I think the price is not too out of line with what you might have to pay for that sort of standard.
I think you might find http://www.hotelsprague.cz/?gclid=CPitpZzX14YCFU4gMAodXkIP3Q useful for price comparisons. A number there are considerably cheaper but I'm afraid I can't help on their standard of accommodation. Perhaps a more open question in the Europe forum might bring some good ideas.
Personally, I think I should opt for the same place again, because it suited so well, unless I had a good recomendation for a cheaper one.
Cheers
David

When I do that I'm asked where I want to write about
and when I say Vancouver BC I'm told it's not on the list. !!!!
Is my travelog in my guest book or some place else?
