Hello Marianne
Posted: 2006-08-09 12:05 PM
I know I've asked you this before, but for the life of me I cannot find your response. I'm about to buy a new camera and I'm trying to make an informed decision but it's all so confusing.
I wanted to get an ultracompact as I like going everywhere with a camera but I also looking for a more tradiitional one that would enable me to control the output a little more.
Any hoo, I just wanted to find out what type of camera you have, I very much like the sharpness of your shots and the great colour you get? Martin has been giving me some ideas so this is my final outreach in order to make my decision.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Amanda

Hi Marianne

I have a Minolta-Konica Dynax 5D digital reflex camera and I'm happy with it. One advantage is, that the lenses of my analog Dynax 700si are compatible with it. This camera is not produced anymore, because Minolta gave up the camera business and sold it to Sony. I was lucky to find one of the last cameras before they were sold out.

Hi Marianne

Thanks for your entry in my guestbook. I also regret thet my travel log is only in polish language but my english is not enough good. It is hard to me write properly (without errors) in english when I'm on the road in some strange internet caffe's. Second reason is simply, most of my friends (eg. parrents) unfortunately uses only polish laguage. I plan translate my reports to english but this take many time for me.
I greet you heartily, Remik.

Hi Marianne

I'm pleased that you like my pictures from the mountains. I didn't climb all the way from Kandersteg (1200 m). I took the cable car to Sunnbühl (1900 m) and from there it took me about 4 hours to climb the remaining 1100 m to the summit of Ober Tatelishorn, including the time I spent for taking many pictures. On the one hand it was a physical training for my next adventure in September, on the other hand I have to get used of my new digital camera. I had the intetion to take pictures on the summit and to assemble them to a panorama, but unfortunatelly it was misty when I arrived there.
Why do you think you will never see mountains from this height? In Switzerland there are many mountains of this elevation that can be reached quite easily, even by cable car or train without any effort. On a clear days it's worthwile!
