Hi Marianne!

Zabelle sent me your way -- said you were over here now. There have been some big changes at Igo lately. It appears, if these changes stick, that they have decided they want to be tripadvisor. If so, I'm outta there, as that kind of writing has no appeal. Right now I'm just poking around and waiting to see what develops at Igo (supposedly things are in flux for another week or so). However, there has been a huge hue and outcry over there. Many of the longtime members are threatening to pull out, and several haven't been much in evidence in recent months anyway, which I'm afraid is a sign of where things are heading. I can deal with the commercialism, but they are more and more limiting what you can do with your journals, and that's a real drag.
I'm still exploring what the possibilities are here at Globo, but it looks interesting!
Best,
Brenda

Abruzzo slideshow

Hi marianne
Thanks for the comment on my album. I have another ready on Abruzzo outside L'Aquila and one with the photos needing sorting on some Umbrian cities.
I may do one on Three Tuscan Cities but I'm not decided yet.
Cheers

Yes I think about twenty shots produced three that are in focus. I must wait until i get a non digital camera before i can hope for a picture of this beautiful creature in flight.
However if you come walk by the river Barrow in Ireland in June and July these creatures will flutter up from among the grasses in dramatic helicopter-like groups.

Hi MArianne,
I'm glad you enjoyed my first 2 Chinese slideshows. I would recommend anyone to visit China. It is a safe and wonderful place to be in all its aspects.
Talk to you soon

Re: Windmills in profile pic

Hi Marianne,
The windmills are in Consuegra in Castilla la Mancha, Spain and are no longer used.
They are featured in the famous novel Don Quixjote where the poor mad old knight thinks they are giants and attempts to fight them - very amusing actually.
I have quite a number of photos of them (without me in them) which I will be uploading but haven't done so as yet.
Lots more to come from this last trip.
