I see that your comments say that the people in photos aren't exactly travel related. I totally agree. I'd rather see the actual place instead of some family photo that should be in some family album. Maybe native people can slip but family pictures just don't cut it.

Thank you for your comments to my pictures.
On the picture: " Stone of the Helmet ", the problem is that, the subsequent part of that stone is much higher than your front part, and the angle of that picture, it didn't allow to show that.

hiya marianne
glad u enjoyed the report. i believe after reading my other two reports to follow (ie on jaipur and delhi) you might have to make a trip to the north!
i prefer idli though i have dosa once in a while too.
as for the food photo, my brother taught me to use photostitch technique from adobe photoshop and i too was very surprised to see it as one photo! perhaps u can try that too.. it will beef up any report.
thanks again and speak soon,
gloria

hiya!
glad u enjoyed the kashmir report.
yes.. it was very cold !! about 5 degrees to minus 10 degrees. summer is also a good time to visit kashmir. so perhaps u can keep that in mind for future visit.
btw.. thanks for your comments on helping me make a choice from the 5 destinations! i think i have narrowed it down to either SA / Norway. Will let my bf make the final decision as he is paying for the trip. I would not be suprised if he decides on some other destinations.
oh.... btw i truly enjoyed all your reports on india!
and hz your future travel plans??

Hi Marianne
As this was my first visit to Berlin since 1982 and it was only for a couple of days I didn't find enough time to do all that stuff that would have also been interesting.
I will keep the information about the stasi muesum for the next visit, thanks!
Have a great day

Bus 100

Hi Marianne
I didn't go into Palast der Republik as far as I know they were about to tear it down so it really is a construction site and nothing to be seen. I have been told that they plan to rebuild the former city castle that has been standing there before...
I didn't know that there is a similar bus route in London :-)
In most european citis busses are a very convenient mean of travel if you have time to explore, that way you see so much more than on the tube/metro/ubahn...
Thank you for your kind comments, it's always a pleasure to get your feedback
Have a great day

Marianne,
Kids and pensioners are most photogenic and your latest pictures show that well. I feel there was a time at GLOBO when only landscape and pure geographical and geological shots got top marks but your pictures help us to show that travel means more about MEETING people too and INTERACTING and learning.
Great! Even if we say the wrong word or do our western stuff, we learn by travelling and they learn from us travellers. The world is getting smaller, we should all realize that!"
