Long way home!!!

Posted: 2005-08-25 02:57 AM
Hi David!
Yeah! You're right and I'm agree that the reports are better with pictures.
And I will add it at home when back but the problem is that I still have a long way home.
I'm overlanding from Cape Town to El Cairo .... and probably from Cairo to Barcelona too.
So there's still like 4 to 6 more months travelling!!!
I'm currently in Dar Es Salaam waiting for my Visa to Rwanda ...... and killing time just writting some reports in Globosapiens!! ;)
I promise I will try to add some pics as soon as possible.
That's my plan:

And some pictures at:

Bye!
Dani!

River Thames

HI David,

I was cycling along the Thames Path and captured some of these pictures that I wanted to share. Surprisingly the areas are quite picturesque. I'll try to publish some more in due course.

Thanks

Hello (up and comming) #3

Hi David
You ARE a gentleman. I've noticed you stop posting (twice now) just before reaching my points level. You are welcome to take over place 3 in the activities ranking, I only have about 800 points of material to upload from my texan visit, no trips planned till mid 2006 and archive material almost exhausted, getting a new work project soon, i'll not have as much time for GLOBO then! Perhaps we will share place "3" for a while, alternating, note though, quite a few new and other members getting active and climbing the ladder, great for GLOBO and for all of us....

David, thanks for your comments on my Rio report, it was my most favourite city that I've travelled to, and I'm glad that transpired.

Underwater Camera

Posted: 2005-08-19 04:15 PM
David,
I drool sometimes when I see the gear that other divers have! I have a little digital Canon Powershot 410s and the Canon underwater housing that goes with it. The housing is good to 40 meters depth and it allows the 3.6x zoom to function fully. This last dive (the eel) I took a clue from some of the more expensive true underwater cameras which have clip on filters and inserted a piece of red celophane over the lens to neutralize the blue/green of the water.

All the same, good underwater shots are more luck then anything else.
