My lion photos

Posted: 2005-07-14 03:13 AM
Thanks for your comment on my lion photos. I just came back from one of my (countless) visits to Tanzania. I must have been to at least 15 safaris in Africa, but this was my best lion experience ever. Just after a turn this huge male was lying in the middle of the road. We stopped may be 10 meters ahead of him, and shut the roof to the car. After a few minuets the lion came towards us, and passed less than a meter from the car. He took a glance at us whit his yellow eyes, and then slowly dissappeared. I agree with you, the only apropriate comment is wow....

Hasta la vista David!

Te he hecho caso y he escrito mi último report.

Yes, you are right; I am running short of reports. I want still to write about the Himalaya caves with the sadhues (maybe tonight), then my life in a kibbutz near Gaza, maybe about the Niger river until Timbuktu and the crossing of the Sahara on trucks carrying dates, the mythical Khiva in Uzbekistan, probably my trip to Sao Gabriel da Cachoeira and then to Colombia through dangerous villages with leprosies (I did not know it), and that is all. Perhaps Sikkim during the Padmashambhava Mask Festival, and the walled Harar in Ethiopia. Ah!, and something about Palau and the Federated States of Micronesia, where I lived for one year, because I have written practically nothing about the Pacific Ocean.
I hope to finish all these reports within one week, and then I have to devote my time to prepare my next trip to Antarctica islands, and will be back in Spain only in October.
You will rest from reading my reports for a few months. But in October I promise to “volver a la carga!”

Gracias David!
Sí, algún día volveré a Escocia y seguiré tu consejo.
Me faltan aún las Islas Hébridas.

Details..

Hi David,
Thank you for you drooling over my pictures.. I hope it didn't damage your keyboard...*chuckle*
I love details, especially in architecture. I take lots of pictures, although I don't post them all on globo. I feel that perhaps it may bore lots of people who don't like details much.
I'm glad you like it as much as I do
regards
