Arrived in Siem Reap by boat from PP and headed to Beng Mealea GH. Left late that afternoon for a first peek at Angkor. Climbed Elephant Terrace to watch the sunset. Met Kira from the US and we talked to my moto driver about heading to Beng Mealea Ruins that next morning. He agreed to do it for $10 each. Both of us on the back of his moto for 3-4 hours each way. Beng Mealea was great. Angkor era ruins overtaken by the forest. No restoration here yet. We even had to bribe some men to use the road up to it. They happily accepted a few new toothbrushes. You can climb in and around the ruins. Make sure you have guide because of landmines. We saw no other tourists while there. The ride out there is scenic moving through lots of towns and villages. Hit Angkor Wat on the way back. Incredible place. Next morn hit Bayon, Angkor, Bantrey Srei, River of 1000 lingas, Ta Prohm and mine museum. Next day hit Roulous Group, Angkor Thom complex, Angkor Wat. Cant wait to go back and spend more time.

Another informative report. I would really like to go to Cambodia, seems like there is so much to see.
