Spent two days in Yogyakarta. Definitely not long enough. Arrived by bus late at night and headed to Bladok Loseman for the night. Charming street vendor street below. Next day we hired a driver and went to Borabudur. Amazing Buddhist site. The carvings are beautiful. Prambanan next, another amazing historical site. Next day was spent exploring on foot. Many markets outdoor and indoor. Great food everywhere. Fried earthworms for sale on street corners. Really neat place. Wish I had more time to spend there.

Brief but still is the info I needed as I try to decide whether to include a trip to Jogyakarta on my trip to Indonesia. Thanks! |

Bonjour Kim, what was for sale at the street vendors? Did you eat some earthworms, what do they taste? |
