I will post some more today. I will upload some photos soon, and I plan to write three or four reports; perhaps on Shiraz, Persepolis, Yazd and Isfahan. I really had a great time there - I cannot believe I was there just yesterday...

That looks good a short trip to Coimbra. I can't help you as we have only been to the Algarve (which we hated) and Lison (which we liked). Enjoy your trip (still a long way off)

I am chuffed. I really did not expect that this, although great indeed, picture would win the POM. I am really happy, because it was truly a great day in Lamu. The lads took good care of me there!

Indeed the writing is a great example of how to turn science into a tourist trap. Thank you and I look forward to visiting that Walking Englishman site again. i had some fun walking in the mornings when I lived at Westwood near Trowbridge in Wiltshire for a time two years ago. The church there is mentioned in the Domesday book.
Slán for now

Hi David! Thanks for all your comments on my recent photos from UK! I think I managed well in 24 hours.. from tuesday to wednesday on business trip... :-)
Terje
You just brought a smile to my face. Thanks for your comments.
I must admit, I bought a £1 mini tripod that I've been trying out to take evening shots and it seems to be paying off. My other tip is to use the timer.
The shots 'looking up' and 'bright lights' were taken with the timer, so I didn't shake the camera when depressing the shutter. I'm very please with my pictures of the Petronas Towers and of the Burj.
